The Discmania CD1 is an old favorite with a new name. Based off the popular CD2, the CD1 is everything you're looking for in a driver. It's predecessor was a bit of a secret weapon in Discmania's lineup. You get great control while also getting some nice distance. The CD1 is very easy to throw for all skill levels. It has a soft, forgiving turn, but with just enough of a fade to bring it back at the end of the flight.
Skilled disc golfers can make the CD1 dance on the course. If you want a smooth hyzer, it can do it. If you want a little turnover shot, it can do it. You have the control in the CD1.
The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.
Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.
Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.
Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.
Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
