The Innova Firebird is the most popular headwind driver from Innova. Its speed and overstability enable throwing reliably even in headwind. The Firebird is a staple in the disc golf world. They always resist turn, while having that dependable fade at the end of the flight.

This is the limited run of the 2025 Sexton Firebird. The Tour Series disc for Team Innova's Nate Sexton arrives in a new Proto Glow Halo Champion blend. Sexton Firebirds have not only been some of the most sought after runs to throw, they are also some of the most collectable discs in the sport. This edition has a familiar forward push to them and possibly a touch less fade than traditional stock Firebirds.

Proto Glow Halo Champion from Innova

Enhanced glow in the familiar Halo style, but this time in Champion plastic. These charge up quickly and certainly shine.

Innova Discs started in 1983 and have been at the forefront of disc golf ever since. Based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Innova Discs has a full line of discs from putters to distance drivers in many popular plastic types.

The four numbers on a disc tell you the discs’s flight characteristics: speed, glide, turn, and fade.

Lower speed ratings typically translate to a disc being easier to throw, but may not go as far. Higher the speed, further they’ll fly, but they are more difficult to throw.

Glide tells you how much it wants to stay in the air.

Turn indicates how much it wants to turn to the right at high speeds. -4 will turn more than -1.

Fade tells you about the end of the flight. The higher the number, the stronger it will finish to the left.
